Kathy Wise Designs is a mail-order and online company. We do not have a physical retail store.
How to Order
- Visit the shop to purchase patterns safely and securely using Square.
- Alternatively, use our printable Order Form and mail it to us.
Shipping & Handling
- U.S. orders: 5–10 business days
- Canadian orders: 7-14 business days
- Standard Shipping (no tracking number included): $6 within the continental U.S., $7 for Canada
- Two-Day Priority Mail (tracking) available (U.S. only)
- Mailing tubes are available for an additional fee
- Michigan residents: 6% sales tax applies
- International postage: please email for details

Kathy accepts special commissions for custom Intarsia artwork, including murals and large wall pieces.

License Agreement for Kathy Wise Designs Patterns and Files
By purchasing or downloading any individual resource (“pattern” or “file”), whether free or purchased, you are granted a license to use these materials under specific terms. Ownership of all patterns and files remains with Kathy Wise Designs Inc., and you agree to abide by the licensing terms outlined below.
Personal & Multiple Use License
All KWD Intarsia patterns are the intellectual property of designer Kathy Wise and are protected by international copyright. Patterns are provided for the personal use of the purchaser. You may create up to 59 projects from a single pattern for resale. Reselling or redistributing the files, copies, or original paper patterns is strictly prohibited. Please do not post photos of the patterns on line.
Commercial Use (Extended License)
Any commercial use beyond personal resale, including the sale, distribution, or transfer of patterns to any party other than the original purchaser, is prohibited without written consent from Kathy Wise Designs Inc. Creating more than 60 pieces from a single pattern for commercial purposes requires prior written approval and payment of additional licensing fees.
Note to Professional Copying Services
You may make up to ten copies of a Kathy Wise Designs Inc. pattern for the personal use of the purchaser, including patterns from books or magazine articles. For any other use, contact Kathy directly:

Please read this Quote from the Ethics Committee of the Scrollsaw Association of the World (SAW) on the use of patterns and copyright laws.
“So what do those copyright notices really mean:
…Only patterns you have designed can be distributed or sold by you. Other patterns you have acquired are not for you to distribute or give away.The pattern making community we are all trying to support is facing a major crisis. Giving patterns away or trading them seems like the right thing to do to many people. They think that once they have obtained a pattern by purchasing it or getting it free from a web site that they can do with it whatever they want. If the pattern was purchased, the designer was attempting to get compensated for his efforts monetarily…. When you give patterns away that are not yours, you have taken those benefits from the designer.
Think about some of these things as you use patterns:
*If designers cannot make enough money from their sales they will stop designing patterns.
*Too much abuse of pattern copyrights, and we may find all pattern designers take their patterns off the market.How you can help:
*When you make a project, give the designer credit for furnishing the pattern.
*When someone asks about a pattern, tell them where you obtained it from, do not just give them a copy.
*When someone asks for a pattern on a web site, tell them where to get it, don’t just give them the pattern.”

I pledge to uphold the copyright laws on patterns. I will give credit to designers when I show projects. I will help designers by referring people to sources for patterns, not giving patterns away.
